David Beckham, legendary England footballer, wished Virat Kohli on his 36th birthday today on November 5, 2024.
Beckham shared photos from meeting Virat Kohli in Mumbai during India’s ICC World Cup 2023 semi-final match at the Wankhede Stadium. Beckham, along with Sachin Tendulkar, watched the match from the stands in which Kohli scored his 50th ODI hundred, breaking Tendulkar’s record of 49 tons.
David Beckham posted on his Instagram story: “Happy Birthday my friend @virat.kohli”
He also posted another photo featuring Kohli and hoped that he would come back to India again soon to catch up with him.
“Hope to see you back in India again soon,” Beckham stated in his second photo.
Meanwhile, Virat Kohli is undergoing another dip in form as he managed only 192 runs in 5 Tests at home against Bangladesh (99 runs in 2 Tests) and New Zealand (93 runs in 3 Tests).
After India lost the New Zealand Test series 0-3, getting whitewashed at home for the first time in a three-Test series, questions have been raised about senior batters including Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma.
Kohli will next be seen in action for India when they travel to Australia for the five-Test Border-Gavaskar Trophy (BGT 2024) series. The series begins on November 22 with the first Test starting in Perth.
