Australia cricketer Ben Dunk, who's part of the Lahore Qalandars squad, got injured ahead of the Pakistan Super League’s (PSL) sixth edition. He got hit on his lips during a practice session and had to undergo treatment.
Dunk received seven stitches on his lips and he shared the video on his official Instagram account. As per Qalandars CEO Sameen Rana, he is currently recovering and expected to play the team's first match in the PSL's second phase which begins on June 9.
“A big thank you to the nurses and surgeon at Burjeel Hospital for re aligning my lip and keeping my modelling dreams alive!", Dunk wrote on Instagram.
Lahore Qalandars will play their first match against Islamabad United at Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi on June 9. They have won three matches in four games before the tournament was postponed due to COVID-19 in March.
