The world is struggling to adapt to the increasing threat of Coronavirus outbreak.

RR cricketers urged fans to stay at home and save lives | GettyWith the rapidly increasing Coronavirus cases, the world has come to a practical standstill. People are practicing social distancing but the pandemic has still claimed more than 170,400 lives and infected over 2,483,000.

India was under lockdown from March 25 in an unprecedented measure in the fight against COVID-19 crisis. The lockdown was scheduled to end on April 14 but to flatten the curve of growing cases, the government decided to extend it till May 3.

Amid the lockdown, IPL franchise Rajasthan Royals on Monday (April 20) created a new video in a bid to lift the morale and remind people of what they need to do in this difficult hour.

The video featuring prominent RR cricketers can be seen advising fans to stay at home and save lives with the catchphrase being: “Together We Rise.”

There were snippets of the likes of Steve Smith, Jos Buttler urging people to obey the government guidelines and also domestic Indian players such as Robin Uthappa, Jaydev Unadkat, Sanju Samson and Riyag Parag doing their bit to help at home.

The clip also paid tribute to frontline workers who are on the forefront to battle this deadly virus.

Had everything being normal, the Rajasthan Royals cricketers would have been in action at the IPL 2020. But the lockdown extension owing to COVID-19 outbreak last week forced the BCCI to suspend the cash-rich indefinitely.
