With most nations going into lockdown and closing borders to limit the spread of virus, the animals and plants have got some breathing space as there is a major drop in air and noise pollution levels.

Although India opener Rohit Sharma is devastated by the loss of human lives, he is pleased to see other species reclaiming their lost territories.

Taking to Twitter, Rohit on Tuesday (March 24) wrote: “Pleasing to see pictures of dolphins swimming near the shores of Mumbai, it shows us that if we tweak our ways we can make a huge difference in finding a balance with nature.”

In India alone, the dangerous COVID-19 has infected as many as 500 people and took away 11 lives. This, forcing the Indian government to announce an official 21-day lockdown starting Wednesday (March 25) given the grave circumstances.

Notably, the entire state of Maharashtra was in lockdown since past one week. In Maharashtra, 10 more cases have been detected, taking the number of COVID-19 patients in the state to 107 as of March 24.
