Former Pakistan cricketer Shahid Afridi believes cricket fans will have to wait till a new Prime Minister comes to power in India to witness a cricket match between two warring countries. India and Pakistan have played their last bilateral series in 2012.

The relationship between India and Pakistan is only getting worse with time. There are very fewer chances these two countries will meet each other except multinational tournaments.

Afridi believes the reason behind no India and Pakistan is primarily because of the man in power.

“Till Modi is in power, I don’t think we will get any response from India. We have all, including Indians, understood the way Modi thinks. His thinking is inclined towards negativity. Our relationships are getting damaged just because of one person. People from either side of the border want to travel to each other’s country. I don’t understand what Modi wants to do and what his agenda really is,” he said.
