Shahid Afridi, the former Pakistani captain, and all-rounder is known for his aggressive batsmanship and his amazing leg-spin. Lovingly known as ‘Boom Boom’ to his legion of fans, Afridi made headlines when he scored 37-ball century in his first outing at the international level.

However, he admitted that he loved the art of leg-spin more than batting and hence never quite worked more on his skills with the willow. This was the reason he averaged 23.57 in 398 ODI matches despite scoring 8064 runs with 6 centuries at a strike rate of 117.00. He did pick up 395 wickets with his leg-spin with the best bowling of 7/12 with an economy of 4.62.

Therefore, addressing the PSL fans recently, Afridi took full advantage of his wit when he started his speech. He started off by saying, “Main Zyada time nahi lena chahunga aapka, apni batting ki tarah” which translates into “I won’t be taking much of your time, like I did when I batted.”

This left the crowd in fits of laughter which didn't end for quite some time, leading to Afridi smiling while trying to continue with his speech. This shows how much love Afridi has for his fans and how much fans love their ‘Boom Boom’ Afridi.
