The long-time debate over who is the best batsman between Virat Kohli and Steve Smith has once again brought up by Pakistan batsman Ahmad Shahzad after the recently concluded ODI series in India.

Kohli and Smith have been dominating the cricketing world across three formats of international cricket over the years, as the race for the best continues between the two modern-day greats.

While the dashing right-hander Kohli continued to lead India from the front, former Australia captain has made a sensational comeback following his one-year ball-tampering ban to once again set the debate on fire over who’s best between the two.

Smith had a remarkable Ashes 2019, finishing as the highest run-scorer despite missing three innings due to concussion to reclaim his number one Test rank from Kohli.

However, the Indian skipper did not take long to snatch the No.1 Test spot from Australia’s star batsman to begin the cat and mouse race and even the two were on the point in the recently concluded 3-match ODI series with Kohli scoring knocks of 78 and 89 and Smith scored 98 and 131.

Well, Shahzad has also now expressed his views on the Kohli-Smith debate, though the out-of-favor Pakistan opener has a different view on the same.

In a recent interview with Cricket Pakistan, Shehzad has answered a total of ten questions and one of them was to pick best between Smith and Kohli.

The right-hander came up with a response, saying the Australia batsman is a better Test player than Indian skipper, while he picked Kohli over Smith as the better batsman in the white-ball game.

He also named Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor as his favorite actress.
