The on-going ninth edition of the Big Bash League (BBL) 2019-2020 has already witnessed some top-level entertaining individual performances in almost every game so far and now Chris Morris has displayed the “elite footwork” to produce best run-out of the season on Saturday (January 18).

South African all-rounder Morris’ fancy footwork stole the limelight during the BBL 09 match between Sydney Sixers and Sydney Thunder at Sydney Showground Stadium on Saturday.

Morris produced stunning football skills to run out Daniel Hughes for just one run while he was attempting to steal a single off the South African.

Hughes was at the non-striker end when Morris was bowling to Josh Philippe and tried to get a single but ended trapped in the middle of the crossroad giving the all-rounder an open target to get a run-out, as he just had to kick the ball with his foot from quite a distance from the stumps to execute one of the best run-outs of the ongoing BBL season.

Well, Hughes could have reached his crease but the miscommunication between him and Philippe led to the left-hander getting stuck into the pitch and failed to reach the crease, as the LED lights turned on after the direct-hit by Morris.

Impressing by Morris’ stunning footwork, the BBL's official Twitter handle posted a video of the Hughes’ wicket with a caption: “Goodness gracious Elite footwork from Chris Morris. Not ideal running from Dan Hughes and Josh Philippe... #BBL09”
