They might not have been the best of mates during their playing days, but it seems that former England cricketers Kevin Pietersen and Matt Prior are trying to move forward by forgetting the ugly past.

After England’s disastrous Ashes 2013-14 campaign down under, Pietersen had accused the ex-wicketkeeper of bullying and becoming too big for his boots.

Moreover, Pietersen had spilled beans on fall out with Prior in his autobiography, stating: “It was a sad time … I had been friends with Cheese (Prior). Now he was slowly losing any sense of himself as he turned up the volume and made himself the main man of the dressing room.”

The duo is currently covering the ongoing Test series between South Africa and England as commentators.

And on the opening day of Port Elizabeth Test, Pietersen shared a picture with Prior and captioned it as: “Lovely to see @MattPrior13 this morning. Bygones! We won some amazing Test Matches together & time is a healer.”

Prior too responded with some positive words.

“Agree totally. I remember the good times - of which there were many - fondly. Onwards!” he replied.

However, former teammate of the pair, Andrew Flintoff, posted a cryptic response.

Former England spinner Ashley Giles was also glad to see the Twitter exchange between Pietersen and Prior.
