Australia cricketer Glenn Maxwell won hearts on the internet for showing good awareness and extinguishing the fire near the road. Dale Steyn, who is in Australia for the Big Bash League (BBL), shares a dressing room with Maxwell for Melbourne Stars. 

Steyn shared the video of Maxwell fulfilling the moral obligations. The Aussie rushed towards the bushfire to extinguish the fire with an extinguisher.

BBL's official Twitter account posted the video on Twitter. "Via the Instagram story of @DaleSteyn62: Glenn Maxwell to the rescue! The @StarsBBL skipper had a bizarre pre-game interruption in Launceston ???? #BBL09," he wrote. 

Earlier in the ongoing BBL tournament, smoke from bushfires in eastern Australia had forced the match officials to abandon a match in Canberra between Adelaide Strikers and Sydney Thunder. The lack of visibility and poor air quality caused by smoke affected the match. Points were shared between the two franchises.
