England speedster Jofra Archer on Friday (December 13) indulged in a heated Twitter exchange with former West Indies fast bowler Tino Best.

The spat started after Jofra replied to a tweet by Tino from November 29. In his post, the ex-Caribbean cricketer had wondered whether Archer’s bowling speed had gone down during the recently held New Zealand tour.

“We need to take the Right Hand Fast and put him to Medium-Fast,” Best had cheekily commented.

Responding to his tweet, Archer wrote: “The captain and I aren’t worried but thank you for concern I really appreciate it.”

After Archer’s retort, Tino came up with another tweet in which he said that people of the current generation cannot take ‘constructive criticism’.

However, Tino’s remark didn’t affect Jofra one bit as the latter further replied: “If that was really your intention you would of messaged me personally, Barbados isn’t big you could of gotten into contact with me but go on have your moment on Twitter.”

It is worth mentioning here that both Jofra Archer and Tino Best belong from Barbados. With Archer shifting his base to UK for better cricketing opportunities, West Indies lost the services of a highly talented pacer and it is something that has been bemoaned by Tino time and again.
