India captain Virat Kohli produced another batting masterclass on Friday, December 6, to help his team record their highest-ever T20I chase and take a 1-0 lead in the three-match T20I series against the West Indies in Hyderabad.
Playing a captain’s knock, the dashing right-hander played an entertaining innings of 94* runs to help 'Men in Blue' win the first T20 International by 6 wickets.
Following his epic innings, the 30-year-old was applauded by fans and cricket experts for his match-winning 50-ball 94* that was decorated by six boundaries and as many sixes.

As the cricket world is going gaga over the chase master, Virender Sehwag also appreciated Kohli’s brilliant efforts with the bat in Hyderabad. He also lauded KL Rahul’s match-winning effort and the “cameo” contribution by Rishabh Pant in India’s highest-ever successful T20I chase.
Taking to Twitter, Sehwag wrote: “Inka time nahi, #ViratKohli ka yeh daur hai. Highest successful run chase for Team India and what a way to do it. Good contributions from KL Rahul and a good cameo from Pant. #IndvsWI”
Noteworthy, the teams will next take on each other in the second T20I to be held at the Greenfield International Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram on Sunday, December 8.
