Ben Stokes predicted this important event three years before it happened

This predicted event is now a part of cricket history.

England all-rounder Ben Stokes is hitting the headlines since after his Indian visit with the national team. He was very impressive with both bat and ball, which increased his value for the auction of Indian Premier League. He ended the auction after becoming the highest paid overseas player in the history, as Rising Pune Supergiant bought him for a whopping price of INR 14.5 crores.

His form deserves that money as well. He can bat, he can bowl, he is the best fielder in England's side, and you don't need to pick three different players for this job. There is only on the dark spot on his international career, when he was at the receiving end of a brutal Carlos Braithwaite in World T20 final in 2016. Rest is very easy to guess what I am talking about.

However, there is one more quality in him as well. There was a tweet by him which he posted on December 8, 2011. This was the same date when Virender Sehwag made only the second double hundred in the ODI history. He scored 219 (then highest score of ODI) against West Indies in Indore before getting out in the 47th over of the innings.

Ben Stokes expressed his thoughts over this innings and predicted what would be the final individual score if Sehwag batted through the 50 overs. His prediction was:

Almost three years later, Rohit Sharma went to break Sehwag's record and registered the highest ever individual score in the ODI history, against Sri Lanka at Eden Gardens. Rohit got out on the last ball of the Indian innings and his personal score read 264 runs in 173 balls including 33 fours apart from 9 towering sixes.

Stokes predicted the very same thing three years ago but the only difference was Rohit got out and the batsman was not Virender Sehwag.
