India's young wicket-keeper batsman Sanju Samson turned 25 on Monday. Samson, who is currently with the Indian squad, celebrated the birthday with his teammates. The celebration just got better as India won the three-match T20I series against Bangladesh, although Sanju wasn't added in the playing XI.
Samson posted a video from the celebration on Instagram. The exciting part of the video was when he cut the cake and looked around for his senior teammates to share the piece. When Rohit Sharma didn't come, someone shouted 'Chahal ke muh pe maar' (throw it on Yuzvendra Chahal's face) and Samson did exactly that.
" "Chahal ke mu pe maar de” and I did what I was told to do...Was a special birthday celebration...Thank you all ☺️???????? @indiancricketteam," Samson wrote sharing the video.
The case of Samson making into the playing XI is getting stronger after Rishabh Pant's failures. He performed well in the domestic tournaments, and that earned him a spot in the team.
