Australia thrashed Pakistan by 10 wickets in the third and final T20I at Perth on Friday (November 8) to clinch the series 2-0.

Opting to bowl first, the hosts restricted Pakistan to 106/8 with Kane Richardson (3/18), Sean Abbott (2/14) and Mitchell Starc (2/29) doing the damage with the ball. Iftikhar Ahmed was the lone warrior with the bat for the visitors, scoring 45 off 37 balls.

In reply, Australian openers Aaron Finch and David Warner made the mockery of Pakistani bowlers to overhaul the target in just 11.5 overs.

Particularly, Finch was the aggressor in the unbeaten partnership as he scored 52 off 36 balls (4 fours and 3 sixes) with a chest-on stance. The Aussie skipper’s new batting posture was also noticed by Proteas fast bowling legend Dale Steyn.

Taking to Twitter, Steyn took a cheeky dig at Finch, saying that the bowlers have been doing this i.e. opening up their bowling action for years and the batters are now copying them.

“Finchy opening up that stance, freeing up those hands, much like Steve Smith. Bowlers been doing this for years, glad to see these guys copying us,” he tweeted.

Australia and Pakistan will now feature in a two-match Test series, starting November 21 at the Gabba.
