Shakib will not be able to play in the T20 World Cup 2020 in Australia | GettyBangladesh captain Shakib Al Hasan was banned for two years by ICC on October 29 for breaching three ICC anti-corruption codes with relation to reporting approaches from bookies. After he admitted his mistake of not reporting the meetings from bookies three times, one year of the ban was suspended.

As per a release from ICC, under the provisions of the Code, Mr. Al Hasan chose to admit the charges and agreed to the sanction with the ICC in lieu of an Anti-Corruption Tribunal hearing. Subject to him satisfying the conditions in respect of the suspended part of the sanction, he will be free to resume international cricket on 29 October 2020.
