Twitter delighted after fan favorite Sourav Ganguly poised to become BCCI president

Former India captain Sourav Ganguly will be seen in a new role as he is all set to become BCCI President. Ex-India batsman Brijesh Patel will be the new IPL Chairman. 

Ganguly is currently the president of the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) and will have to leave that post in September 2020, which is a mandatory cooling-off period. The 47-year-old is a favorite of fans, and they celebrated the news on Twitter. Ganguly has always looked to grow the Indian cricket, and fans are hopeful that power will now be in the right hands.

Apart from Ganguly, Union Home Minister Amit Shah's son Jay Shah will be the new secretary, while Arun Dhumal will be the new treasurer. Dhumal is a younger brother of MoS Finance and former BCCI president Anurag Thakur.
