MS Dhoni, who has carried the burden of Indian cricket team for more than a decade, is currently making the most of his time off from the game.

The legendary wicketkeeper batsman was spotted playing football with Bollywood star Arjun Kapoor in Mumbai on Sunday (October 6).

Dhoni’s love for soccer is very well documented as he often plays it during Team India’s practice session. He has also taken part in several charity football matches over the last few years.

Dhoni's retirement speculations have been doing the rounds ever since India’s ouster from World Cup 2019 in July. A two-month sabbatical following the quadrennial event, which saw him missing the West Indies and South Africa series, has further raised questions on his cricket future.

Dhoni had called time on his Test career back in December 2014 while he stepped down as India's limited-overs skipper in January 2017. He has since continued to serve the team as a brilliant wicketkeeper and tactician but his circumspect batting approach has often received flak.

During the World Cup, Dhoni constantly faced the wrath of fans and cricket pundits for his slow strike-rate. He amassed 273 runs from 8 innings at the quadrennial event at an average of 45.50 and strike-rate of 87.78.
