Australia Women’s captain Meg Lanning was hilariously hit on the head by the sponsors’ banner during the post-match presentation after tourists clinched the T20 International series with a massive win in the second T20I over West Indies Women’s at Kensington Oval Barbados on Tuesday, September 17.
The funny incident took place at Barbados when Lanning was talking to the presenter and the hilarious moment was captured by the cameras and one of her teammates Megan Schutt who also shared the video clip on her Twitter handle with just the caption saying WOW.
During the conversation with the presenter, the sponsor’s advertisement which was placed behind Lanning dropped down thanks to strong wind and the whole banner hit the Aussie star batswoman in the head and covered her entire face as she tried to get rid of it.
Watch here the hilarious moment:
Noteworthy, Australia Women’s continued their dominance over West Indies, as they first whitewashed the hosts in the three-match One Day International series and have now won the first two T20I matches by a pretty convincing margin as well.
Ellyse Perry, Alyssa Healy, skipper Lanning and fast bowler Megan Schutt all have contributed heavily in Australia’s massive ODI success in West Indies. Healy contributed 241 runs, Lanning 179 and Perry 178 runs along with 5 wickets, while Schutt also picked up 5 scalps in Australia 3-0 ODI win.
On the other hand, Lanning has 76 runs, Healy has 70, while Schutt has picked up 4 wickets in the ongoing T20I series with the final match will be played on Thursday (September 19).
