New Zealand tailender batsman Trent Boult is more famous for swinging the ball, rather than the bat. But against Sri Lanka in the first Test, he did his job with the bat as well.

In the second innings, New Zealand needed every single run to pile up a good target for the hosts. The lower order helped them. After being 124/6 at one stage, the Kiwis ended up with 285 on the board, making it a 268 runs target for Sri Lanka.

Out of all, it was Trent Boult who entertained fans the most. He batted with a strike rate of 104 and scored 26 off 25 balls. The top scorer for Blackcaps was wicket-keeper BJ Watling with a score of 77. William Somerville remained not out on 40.

One of Boult's shots made fans giggle on social media. The tailender moved to his right and then smoothly played it on the leg side. He was moving so much in his crease that some even called him Steve Smith version 2.0.

Here is the clip:

It will be a tough ask for the Sri Lankans to chase down a target of 268 in the fourth innings. The game is now tilted towards New Zealand unless the home team pulls off a stunning chase.
