Ex-cricketer Sourav Ganguly has raised his voice on Twitter for the likes of Shubman Gill and Ajinkya Rahane after BCCI picked up the squads for West Indies tour. He believes it's time for BCCI to get the same set of players in all three formats to give the players continuity.

Ganguly posted couple of tweets where he tried to express his point. He thinks not including player in all formats breaks their rhythm, which isn't good for them.

"Time has come for Indian selectors to pick same players in all formats of the game for rhythm and confidence.. too few are playing in all formats," he wrote.

The former India captain added that what he wrote is the formula of success for big sides. "Great teams had consistent players ..it’s not about making all happy but picking the best for the country and be consistent..@bcci," he posted.

India picked Ajinkya Rahane as vice-captain for the Test side. But Rahane is missing in the limited-overs formats. He hasn't found a place in the ODI side since the tour to South Africa last year.

On the other side, Gill was the top scorer for India A in the recent one-day series against West Indies A. The chief selector MSK Prasad had said the selectors had considered performances from the series while picking Manish Pandey and Shreyas Iyer in the side. But Shubman wasn't one of them despite a good outing.

Ganguly put in a word for both Rahane and Shubman in his second tweet.

"There are many in the squad who can play all formats ..surprised not to see shubman gill ..Rahane in the one-day squad..", Ganguly's tweet read.
