One of the greatest Indian cricketers ever, MS Dhoni is celebrating his 38th birthday. The man from Ranchi, who took the nation with surprise thanks to his abilities with the bat and gloves and then with his captaincy acumen, is one of the most revered cricketers in the world.
Making his debut in 2004, Dhoni went on to become a world-wide phenomenon after scoring 148 against Pakistan and a smashing 183* against Sri Lanka in ODIs. He led the Indian team to World T20 win in 2007, the ICC World Cup win in 2011 and Champions Trophy triumph in 2013, becoming the only captain to lift all the three ICC trophies.
He called time on his Test career after 90 matches and 4876 runs with six centuries and a best of 224. Till date, he has played 349 ODI matches for India and Asia XI and has scored 10723 runs with 10 centuries at an average of 50.58 and 828 dismissals behind the stumps in all international cricket.
