Shubman Gill’s stocks as a limited-overs batsman have gone a notch above after IPL 2019. Batting in the lower middle-order before the KKR team management decided to send him as an opener, Gill amassed 296 runs from 13 innings with the highest score of 76.

The 19-year-old opened the innings in just 5 matches and registered the scores of 65, 14, 76, 65* and 9. Gill drew rich praises from the overseas commentators throughout the campaign and ended up winning the "Emerging-Player-of-the-Year" award.

Following the memorable Indian Premier League, Shubman gifted himself a luxurious four wheeler, Range Rover. Taking to Instagram, he himself revealed the news to his fans by posting a picture with the caption reading: “Thalle mere Range akh baaz naalo tezz!”

As soon as he shared the picture, congratulatory messages started pouring in for Gill. Amid a number of wishes, one of them was from Sara Tendulkar, daughter of batting legend Sachin Tendulkar.

Gill quickly returned the favour by thanking Sara for her message. Apart from thanking her, the youngster also put a heart sign in his message which left the fans speculating things.

While the fans were busy talking about Gill and Sara, India all-rounder Hardik Pandya poked fun at the young batting sensation by replying “most welcome from her” on his "thanks a lot" message.
