MS Dhoni's famous 'no look run out' was imitated by England leg-spinner Adil Rashid on Sunday (May 19). The veteran India wicketkeeper had pulled off a stunning run out against New Zealand in 2016 where he dismissed Ross Taylor without even moving his eyeballs. Afterwards, Dhoni was bestowed with all sorts of adjectives such as maverick and magician.

Since then, many cricketers have tried to do the same but only a few have succeeded. Rashid is a new addition to the list after his awe-inspiring attempt to do a 'Dhoni'.

During the fifth and final ODI between England and Pakistan in Headingley, Rashid got rid of Babar Azam with a 'no look run out' during the 27th over of second innings.

Babar was batting on 80 with Sarfaraz Ahmed on the other end. The Pakistan skipper pushed one of Adil Rashid’s delivery on the leg side and was looking to take a single before deciding against it. However, Babar, by then, had reached the middle of the pitch as wicketkeeper Jos Buttler quickly collected the ball and threw it towards the bowler. Before Babar could reach back, Rashid plucked the ball and executed a run out without looking at the stumps.

Coming to the match, Pakistan managed to amass 297 all-out in 46.5 overs and lost the fifth ODI by 54 runs. With this defeat, the visitors also conceded the series 4-0.
