Indian Cricket Fraternity reacts in shock to bomb explosions in Sri Lanka which left over 100 dead

Three churches and three five-star hotels were hit by blasts.

Images of chaos from inside of St. Sebastian Church in ColomboThe Easter Sunday proved to be a black day in Sri Lanka’s history as it saw six explosions rocking three Sri Lankan churches and three five-star hotels. According to local reports, the blasts in hotels and churches in different parts of the country occurred at around 8.45 am (local time) as the Easter Sunday masses were in progress in churches.

The blasts have left approximately 156 people dead and over 500 people injured. The attacks happened in and around the capital city of Colombo. President Maithripala Sirisena said he was shocked by the explosions and urged for calm. St Anthony's Church in Colombo and St Sebastian's Church at Katuwapitiya in the town of Negombo were the first ones hit by the blasts. In Colombo, the blasts hit the Cinnamon Grand Hotel, the Shangri-La and the Kingsbury.

The entire cricket fraternity in India was shocked with the news of blasts rocking the city of Colombo and tweeted supportive messages and prayed for the well being of injured people.
