Surrey batsman Will Jacks cracked a century in just 25 deliveries during a T10 match against Lancashire in Dubai on Thursday (March 21).

During his knock, the 20-year-old Jacks also smashed six sixes in an over as he took left-arm spinner Stephen Parry to the cleaners. He moved from 62 to 98 in a span of six deliveries before notching up his ton in the very next over.

Jacks finished with 105 off 30 deliveries as Surrey posted 176/3 in their stipulated 10 overs. His herculean innings was laced with 8 fours and 11 gigantic sixes.

Unfortunately for Will Jacks, his heroics will not go down in the record books as the affair was not being given official status. It was a pre-season fixture for both the sides, who are preparing for the upcoming county season.

Had the match been given the official status, Jacks' whirlwind century would have broken Chris Gayle's fastest-recorded hundred in professional cricket. During the IPL 2013, the Universe Boss had struck a 30-ball ton.

Speaking to ICC after the match, Jacks said: "From the first ball I just tried to play my shots. After the first few overs my intention was to try and hit every ball for six, and I think after four sixes I thought, 'I could hit six sixes here'. I'd never done it before and it was nice to do that and something I will cherish."
