Sanjay Manjrekar is getting roasted on Twitter after he asked the International Cricket Council (ICC) to remove stump mics. A couple of incidents in cricket recently has created controversy.

After Pakistan captain Sarfraz Ahmed received a ban for calling South Africa all-rounder Andile Phehlukwayo 'black', another offensive comment was caught in stump mic during the Test match between West Indies and England.

Joe Root, the English captain was heard saying "There is nothing wrong with being gay." It is assumed that Root responded to a comment by West Indies pacer Shannon Gabriel which is said to be homophobic.

In the presser, Root said, "Sometimes people say things on the field that they might regret, but they should stay on the field."

Manjrekar took Twitter to express his disappointment over the stump mic which makes things hard for the cricketers on the field. "After Sarfraz, it’s Shannon Gabriel now who could be in trouble thanks to the stump mics. #ICC must brainstorm and decide if increased use of stump mics is actually good for the game or not."

Here is how Twitter reacted to his tweet:
