Indian captain Virat Kohli has become a parameter to judge the batsmen all over the world. Along with Indian fans, even Pakistan batsman are fed up of this comparison. Whenever a new Pakistan batsman rises, they get compared with the Indian star cricketer.

After players like Umar Akmal and Ahmad Shahzad, Pakistan fans are now comparing Babar Azam with Virat and even he is getting annoyed with it.

“Whenever you hear, people compare me with Virat Kohli. I think he is a very big player, I am not even close to him. I have just started while he has achieved a lot. I have to achieve and if I perform like that you can compare but not now,” he said.

Azam has scored 2462 runs in 57 ODI innings. The 24-year-old, who made his debut in 2015 has been very impressive with the bat for men in green. Apart from Test, his figures in limited-overs define his importance for the Pakistan team.

In ODI and T20I, Babar averages 51.29 and 53.72, respectively. He has eight hundred in ODIs, but to get to his first Test hundred the batsman had to wait for 17 Test matches.
