Sanjay Manjrekar sees no place for Hardik Pandya in Indian XI, Twitter counters his views

Manjrekar feels it won't be easy for the Indian all-rounder to be in the playing XI.

Hardik Pandya | GETTY

Return of Hardik Pandya has strengthened the Indian side, but according to cricket commentator Sanjay Manjrekar, it will also give Indian team management a headache to finalize the final XI.

Hardik picked up two wickets in his first match after returning from suspension. He surely provides good support to the frontline bowlers and one of the reasons why Indian team feels balanced.

While there are more chances that Hardik will be given priority for his all-around ability, Manjrekar doesn't feel so. In fact, he thinks the all-rounder will have to battle for his spot in the playing XI. Twitterati finds it absurd and believes the Indian skipper Virat Kohli will definitely go for Pandya.

Mohammad Shami has also come into the picture because of his recent performance in Australia and also in New Zealand currently. Sanjay feels with Indian bowling looking full strength, Hardik will have a chance to make it into the XI only by performing better with the bat.

"Tough one for India - Fitting in Hardik in a full-strength Indian team with Bumrah available. Shami, Bhuvi, Bumrah, Chahal & Kuldeep now indispensable. Hardik must therefore compete more as batsman with Rayudu, Kedar and Karthik. Your thoughts?

wrote Manjrekar.

Twitter wasn't satisfied with Manjrekar's tweet. They felt the tweet is foolish.
