Sachin Tendulkar relives the days he used to play Tennis, shares throwback pictures

With the first Grand Slam of the year 2019 -Australian Open coming to a conclusion, Sachin Tendulkar on Thursday (January 24) took the opportunity to express his love for tennis, as he turned the clock back and shared some throwback pictures of himself playing tennis on his social media handle.

Cricket icon Tendulkar, who is known to be an ardent fan of the sport, went back to relive the days he used to play tennis, by sharing a couple of pictures on his social media handle, where the batting legend can be seen playing tennis in his younger days on a court.

In the photos, Tendulkar was seen playing tennis with slippers on, while his post reads, “Nothing ever stopped me from playing sports. Not even when I didn’t have my shoes on.”

The cricketing great, who was seen on many occasions to watch games of tennis, also mentioned the Australian Open's official Twitter handle in the post on Twitter and Instagram.

Meanwhile, Tendulkar's love for tennis is not hidden from anyone, and even he has admitted on many times that he is a huge admirer of Swiss tennis legend Roger Federer.

However, the master blaster could not make it to the Australian Open this time, but he is closely following the extravagant affair and even reacted to the video where his friend Federer was seen being stopped by the security staff at Australian Open for not having his accreditation.

Tendulkar lavished praise on the authorities for doing their job, as well as, lauded Federer for his reaction to the incident. He tweeted, “Good to watch the security officer doing his job well at the @AustralianOpen. The manner in which @rogerfederer reacted was commendable as well. Such actions are not common today and they just increase the respect people have for great athletes like Roger.”
