International Cricket Council (ICC) seems to be 'Dhonified' after MS Dhoni was awarded the Player of the Series award against Australia. Dhoni was the highest scorer for India and he got fifties in all three matches. Two out of the three half-centuries of Dhoni came in a winning cause while chasing. He scored 193 runs in the three-match ODI series

ICC had posted Dhoni's picture in the current '10-year-challenge' after he won India the second ODI against Australia with a six and single in last over. After the third and final game, the International cricket body surprised Indian fans by keeping Dhoni's picture as their cover image on Twitter.

The 37-year-old India wicket-keeper has already scored three half-centuries in as many ODI matches. Last year, Dhoni was struggling for even one fifty. His outing in England was rated very poor as he failed to play even 10% of what he is known for. His struggle with the bat had cost India the series.

Dhoni has re-started to work on his skills. However, his initial game still puts pressure on the batsman at the other end. Fans are hoping for more smooth innings in upcoming days.

Meanwhile, Dhoni's fans celebrated his recent match-winning knocks and the fact that ICC has joined them pleased them.

Here is how they reacted:
