Australian cricketer Billy Stanlake lost his wicket in a very unfortunate way. Playing for Adelaide Strikers, Stanlake ran himself out in the game against Sydney Thunder. At first, it looked like the non-striker will complete the run easily.
However, he failed to finish the run as his bat got stuck in the ground and Stanlake couldn't drag it into the crease.
The game was out of Strikers' hand as they were batting on 95/9 when Stanlake came in to bat. It was the fourth ball of 18th over and batsman Liam O'Connor played the full toss delivery straight into the hands of mid-wicket for a single.
While Liam made the ground easily, Stanlake failed to get even his body in the crease before the wicket-keeper disturbed the bails.
The official Twitter account of Big Bash shared the video and wrote, “Just wait for the replay... This might be the best Bucket Moment of the season!”
Thunders won the game by 71 runs after putting up a total of 168/6 in 20 overs. It was Shane Watson, the skipper of Sydney, who scored 68 off 40 balls.
