Australian cricketer Ben Cutting took a nasty blow on his nose during a Big Bash League game between Melbourne Renegades and Brisbane Heat.

Cutting tried to send Renegades opener Marcus Harris back after he hit one high in the air. In an attempt to catch the ball, he seemed to have moved his eyes away from the ball. Ben missed the ball which went on to hit between his two eyes just above his nose. However, he still managed to catch it but the umpire didn't raise the finger and Harris survived. Cutting had thrown the ball in shock after being hit.

Cutting received treatment later. Brisbane Heat shared the picture on Twitter. He got five stitches after the blow.

Earlier in the game, Cutting scored 20 off 10 balls in Brisbane's 144/8 in 20 overs. The game was won by Melbourne by 8 wickets and Sam Harper was the top scorer. He scored unbeaten 56 runs along with captain Tom Cooper's unbeaten 36.
