Afghanistan cricketer Rashid Khan has now made the trademark shot of MS Dhoni, the helicopter shot, one of his own. The leg-spinner who usually leaves batsmen bewildered with his spin is now attacking the bowlers with his bat swings.
Rashid played a Big Bash League game on December 31 despite the demise of his father a day before. In that game for Adelaide Strikers, Khan smashed a helicopter shot which caught everyone's eyes.
It has become a go-to shot for Rashid now. We have seen him playing it too often lately. He had unveiled it during the T10 League encounter which made even great like Virender Sehwag to applaud his effort.
Rashid had shared the sad news of his father's death on Twitter. He posted an emotional message which read, “Today I lost the most important person in my life,father-the everlasting candle.Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un. Now I know why u always asked me to be strong, bcz u knew that today I would need the strength to bear your loss. Will be always in my. I miss u #plztalktomeOnce."
