The ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy is not only witnessing the captivating contest between Australia and India on the field, but also garnered a lot of attention for the chatter, banter, and sledging.

In particular, Australia skipper Tim Paine has hogged the limelight for his hilarious chitchat behind the stumps, with Indian players including Murali Vijay, Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and recently it was Rishabh Pant.

During the Boxing Day Test in Melbourne, Paine had chirped to Pant about MS Dhoni replacing him in the ODI team and whether he is free to 'babysit' for his kids while he goes for a movie with his wife. He also enquired whether he the Indian wicket-keeper is available to play for Hobart Hurricanes in the ongoing Big Bash League (BBL).

Pant had his own back at Paine, terming the Tasmanian as a “temporary" captain of the Australian cricket team. He also asked the bowlers to take it easy on Paine, suggesting that the Australian captain can only talk and not be much of a threat with the bat.

Amidst the war of words, a picture surfaced on New Year’s Day that certainly won the internet. Bonnie Paine, wife of the Aussie skipper, shared an Instagram story featuring Pant and her kids with the caption reading: “best babysitter”.

Reacting on Bonnie’s post, the Big Bash League (BBL) franchise Hobart Hurricanes took to Twitter and wrote: “Enjoy your night out @tdpaine36 #TasmaniasTeam”.
