WATCH: Rashid Khan plays MS Dhoni's trademark Helicopter shot in Mzansi Super League

This is not the first time Rashid has played helicopter shot in a competitive game.

Rashid Khan represented Durban Heat in Mzansi Super League

Rashid Khan, the leg-spinner, is making headlines for his batting these days. The Afghanistan cricketer has added a new shot to his arsenal; the helicopter shot. A shot which is very familiar for cricket fans, especially Indian fans because it was played by MS Dhoni, the former Indian captain.

Playing for Durban Heat in the ongoing Mzansi Super League, Rashid hammered a first-ball six when he got an opportunity to walk out in the middle. It was an intense game between Durban and Tshwane Spartans, but Albie Morkel's late exploits won the game for Heat as they chased down 189 with one ball left.

Rashid came out to bat when his team needed 50 runs in 23 balls. Wasting no time, he launched a six over long-on boundary and not the only bowler Lutho Sipamla was stunned, but the commentators were also shocked too. However, his innings only lasted three balls and he walked back scoring just 6 runs.

Not the first time Rashid has played the helicopter shot. He had unveiled it in T10 league as well.

Sharing the video on his official Twitter account, Rashid looked quite happy with the shot and rightly so. "???????????????????????? @MSL_T20 @durban_heat ????????????????," he wrote.
