Aakash Chopra burned to crisps in a battle of wits against Brad Hodge and Damien Fleming

Brad Hodge and Damien Fleming ganged up on Aaksh Chopra and pulled his leg on Twitter.

Damien Fleming and Brad Hodge took Aakash Chopra to task on TwitterAakash Chopra is known for inciting fans and fellow cricketers with his opinions which sometimes go polarly opposite to what is being discussed at the hand. Sometimes, however, Chopra’s wit and charm work magnificently, while sometimes it falls flat and he gets scorched on social media.

This was one such time when Aakash Chopra tried to match wits with former Australian players Damien Fleming and Brad Hodge. The issue was Cricket 7’s Twitter account putting out a T20 XI chosen by Brad Hodge, consisting of players who had never played T20 cricket but would have been great at it.

The list featured the likes of Jack Hobbs, Warwick Armstrong, Viv Richards, Don Bradman, Clive Lloyd, Garry Sobers, Lance Klusener, Wasim Akram, Michael Holding, Jeff Thomson, and Tiger O’Reilly.

Aakash Chopra quoted the tweet and pointed out that a player like Kapil Dev was left out, in fact, not a single player from India was chosen in the list. Other users found out anomalies like Wasim Akram and Lance Klusener, who had played T20 cricket at one point of time.

Aakash Chopra wrote, “No Kapil Dev??? ???????? in fact, not a single Indian player

To which Hodge replied, “Akash how would you like to see?

Damien Fleming joined in the fun and teased Aakash saying, “If its T20 you would be foolish not to have @cricketaakash opening

Brad Hodge landed a sick burn on Chopra with this comment, “I want entertainment, not fall asleep

Aakash Chopra tried to make a comeback but failed miserably by saying, “You missed the key point, Flem...not for the first time though. ???????? ‘Those who have played no T20’ I think that you qualify for this... ???????? Hodgy, no Flem???

It seems like Aakash Chopra tried to comeback valiantly in the battle of wits, but that sick burn by Hodge ended the contest then and there.
