When a team visits Australia to play them, they have to face the Australian media first. The media gets so much involved in the contest that they try to put pressure on the visiting teams by coming with unneeded headlines. We remember when Aussie media had compared Indian captain Virat Kohli with animals.
Even Australian fans trouble the tourists equally. But this time when Aussie media tried to insult the Indian team, they came in support on Twitter.
A newspaper tried to get under the skin of Indian team as they come up with a headline which read, "The Scaredy Bats" upon their arrival in Adelaide for the first Test, starting December 6.
An Aussie journalist Richard Hinds posted the picture on Twitter and lashed out at the newspaper for ruining their country's image. The report in the newspaper claimed India are scared of the bounce in Brisbane, scared of the unknown in Perth and dark in Adelaide as they refused to play a day-night Test. Fans called the whole thing very childish and reacted strongly on Twitter.
Anyone else tired of the childish and predictable mocking of visiting teams by Australian media? It’s become a boorish tradition that reflects poorly on our country.#AUSvIND pic.twitter.com/3bFgFSgaWZ

Well last time in Australia, Kohli made 4 hundreds and averaged 86.50, Vijay averaged 60.25, Rahane averaged 57 and Rahul in just his second Test made 110 at the SCG, so umm yeah I think they'll be fine.

I don’t even bother with 95% of media coverage anymore. Got my favorite journos i’ll follow and don’t even give the others any attention. I simply don’t have time for the aggrovation.

Pitiful shit. No respect at all at a time when people are switching off in droves. This doesn't get them back..just pisses ppl off further.

Only thing Indian bats will fear is not performing well against a lowly ranked test opponent

Particularly embarrassing when some erroneously believe it reflects the views of Australians. Respect the opposition is the first thing taught in Australian junior sport

Perhaps, but why not aim higher and challenge yourself to produce quality content instead of mimicking the puerile lowest common denominator.

Thanks for saying it Richard. The element of Australia's sports press that carries on like dildos should be called out for the knobs they are. Australians, on the whole, are not as mindless as this. That's why so many care about sorting out the culture of national cricket team

Childish it is... I’d like to think we’re better then this.
