As soon as the clock hit 12 in the midnight 'Happy Birthday Raina' started trending on social media. Suresh Raina turned 32 on Tuesday and Twitter was filled with the wishes.

Raina has been part of India's World Cup 2011 and Champions Trophy 2013 winning squads. He also featured in World Cup 2015. But the way to World Cup 2019 isn't looking easy for the southpaw after failing to grab the opportunities thrown at him in recent times.

The left-hander is also known as 'Mr. IPL' for his consistent batting performance in all seasons. He has been one of the core members of three-time IPL champions Chennai Super Kings.

With 4985 runs in 172 innings, Raina is slightly above Virat Kohli in the runs charts of IPL.

The 32-year-old hasn't played many Tests for India. He could only be part of 18 Tests and those were not a memorable one. After a century on debut against Sri Lanka, he couldn't fix his place in the team. An average of 26.48 didn't help him either.

Raina was once India's key player in the lower order. But as the time passed, we saw a dip in his performance. However, he still has 5615 runs in 226 ODI matches and 1605 runs in 78 T20Is. He is also the first Indian to score a T20I hundred.

Here are the birthday wishes Raina received on Twitter:
