South African spinner Tabraiz Shamsi was savagely trolled by Darren Sammy after West Indies Women’s team thrashed the Proteas eves in a low-scoring affair of the ongoing ICC World T20 group league encounter at St Lucia on Wednesday (November 14).

On Wednesday, South Africa Women made a great start in the crucial match by dismissing the West Indies Women at a below-par score –107/7 on the board, but Windies captain Stafanie Taylor turned the table with his sizzling bowling put the pressure on the Proteas here.

Taylor picked up four wickets, conceding just 12 runs in 3.4 overs to bowled out South Africa for 76 in 18.4 overs to help the defending champions to register a fantastic win at St Lucia.

Meanwhile, the South African wrist spinner posted a video on Twitter during the match, backing the Proteas women to beat Windies Women while chasing a small target. He also tagged all-rounder Sammy in his post, which probably hinted that he was challenging the former West Indies skipper on the social media.

Shamsi wrote on Twitter along with a video of himself, “@darensammy88 I'm backing the @OfficialCSA Ladies to get over the line ???? #WatchThis #WWT20 #WIvSA”

But South Africa could not manage to cross the line and fell short by 31 runs against West Indies Women’s, which has given a golden opportunity to Sammy to make the fan of Shamsi’s words and savagely troll the South African on Twitter. His post reads, “When u celebrate way to early ????????????????????”

Noteworthy, the Windies Women will next play England Women in their final Group League encounter of the World T20 at St Lucia on November 18 (Sunday).
