India’s star batsman Rohit Sharma paid his heartfelt tribute to American comic book icon Stan Lee after he died in Los Angeles on Monday (November 12).

Lee, who was a co-creator of iconic characters including Iron Man, the Fantastic Four, Spider-Man, Daredevil and the X-Men, passed away at the age of 95. He was suffering a number of illnesses in recent years.

Taking to Twitter, Rohit posted a picture in which he can be seen posing along with Spider Man and Ironman. In the moving post, the Mumbaikar wrote: ".@TheRealStanLee - you will be missed. No Marvel movie will be complete without you. Thank you for leaving us with some of the greatest heroes of all time. And giving me my favourite superhero #Hulk #RIP.”

Recently, Rohit led Team India to a thumping 3-0 T20I series victory over West Indies. Despite the absence of regular skipper Virat Kohli and veteran wicketkeeper MS Dhoni, he led the team from the front to inflict a whitewash over the defending Twenty20 champions.

During the second T20I in Lucknow, Rohit notched up the world record fourth century in the shortest format to lead the foundation for India's stunning 71-run series-clinching victory.

Rohit Sharma will now be seen back in action on the tough tour of Australia, which kickstarts with the first T20I at Brisbane on November 21.
