Clinching the T20I series 3-0 and inflicting a famous whitewash over the defending world champions of the shortest format of the game, Team India members shared their delight and satisfaction with fans and followers over the famous social media network, Twitter.

Leading 2-0 in the series, India made two forced changes where Washinton Sundar and Yuzvendra Chahal came in place of the rested Jasprit Bumrah and Kuldeep Yadav. Though it reflected in the bowling, as the visitors smashed their way through to a stiff target of 182 in 20 overs on the back of Darren Bravo(43 off 37) and Nicholas Pooran(53 off 25), but India's innate batting strength eventually came to the fore, again.

Following his unusual drought of runs in recent times with a fantastic knock of 92 in India's outstanding run-chase of West Indies' stiff target of 182 on a slightly tricky surface at Chennai, explosive left-hander Shikhar Dhawan got one back at the critics, who questioned even his place after struggles against the Oshane Thomas in the ODI series and the first two games of the three-match T20I tussle.

Dominating his nemesis, Thomas, Dhawan played one of his best innings in the shortest format of the game and struck 10 fours and 2 sixes all over the park in a 62-ball magnificent effort. He stretched together a partnership of 130-run stand with the amazing Rishabh Pant, who played an outstanding knock of 58 glittered with 5 fours and 3 sixes himself, for the third wicket and helped the Rohit Sharma led side clinch the series, 3-0.

To triumph their ninth consecutive T20I series victory, especially against a side that has been a big hurdle for them to overcome over the years, must be an emotionally satisfying feeling for the team.

Well played, India.
