PAK v NZ 2018: WATCH- Coach Mickey Arthur in splits after Pakistan batsmen ran five

The incident happened during Pakistan vs New Zealand third ODI.

Trent Boult of New Zealland fields the ball during the 3rd One Day | GETTY

Running five runs is very rare in cricket. You either get it in penalties or when the ball races towards the boundary on a wide delivery. The rarest of rare sight was seen during Pakistan vs New Zealand game. Pakistan batsman Faheem Ashraf and Asif Ali ran five runs. However, it involved a couple of overthrows as well.

New Zealand showed some poor game awareness which cost them a couple of extra runs in the third and last ODI.

Faheem had flicked a Trent Boult delivery down to deep square-leg to take three runs with the throw coming in at the wicketkeeper's end.

Tom Latham collected the ball and quickly tried to dismiss the batsman running toward the bowler's end. But he missed the stumps and the ball was overthrown. But even when the ball was thrown back again to Latham he couldn't collect and that gave Pakistan another run.

Pakistan's Mickey Arthur was seen laughing in the dugout. "Quite astonishing. Quite a feat that," said Rameez Raja in the commentary box.
