Women's World T20: Watch- Harmanpreet Kaur carries an ill mascot post national Anthem

Harmanpreet Kaur grabs the limelight with her heartfelt gesture

Indian Cricket Team under Harmanpreet Kaur started their campaign of the Women’s World T20 in the West Indies brilliantly. After beating White Ferns in their Women World T20 Opener, they comfortably chased down a target of 134 against Pakistan. India played both their games at Providence Stadium in Guyana.

The Captain, Harmanpreet Kaur was able to grab the limelight in both the games, first with their her maiden T20I Ton. With her belligerent innings against New Zealand women, she became first Indian women to accomplish the feat. However in the second game against arch-rivals, Pakistan it was her heartfelt gesture that won the hearts.

Post Toss, during National Anthem ahead of the game, the players stood in line, there was a mascot in front of everyone. The mascot in front of Indian skipper, fell ill and 29-year-old Harmanpreet was quick to realize it and immediately after the anthem came to a close, she carried the child on her arms and handed her to the authorities while heading towards the dugout.
