Bowlers try various things during their run-up to distract the batsman and not let them settle against them. India's R Ashwin often pauses his action before delivering the ball, while we have seen Kieron Pollard often delivering the ball from way behind the crease so that batsman can't judge the pace right. With modern cricket getting advanced, players have started to experiment for maximum results.

Recently, International Cricket Council (ICC)'s official Twitter account shared a clip of Botswana's Mmoloki Mooketsi who has a very unique bowling run-up. The left-arm off-spinner takes three steps with short pauses and doesn't run at all in his run-up before delivering the ball.

The clip is from ICC World Twenty20 Africa Region Qualifier C at Gaborone played on Oct 28, 2018, between Botswana and Mozambique. Batting first, Botswana scored 171/3 in 20 overs. But in reply, Mozambique was bamboozled as except one batsman, skipper Kaleem Shah, no other player could reach double figures. They were bowled out on just 48.

Mooketsi bowled three overs and picked up 2 wickets, giving away just seven runs.

Here is the video of his bowling:
