Pakistan's opening batsman Imam-ul-Haq, who had fractured his finger while fielding in Australia’s second innings of the first Test, underwent a surgery on Saturday.

"Imam has fractured the fifth finger of his left hand while fielding and has been ruled out of the second Test starting in Abu Dhabi from October 16," a Pakistan Cricket Board spokesman had said.

The 22-year-old will have to take at least 3 weeks of rest. He shared a picture on his Twitter account and wrote, "Alhamdulliah my surgery went good have to rest for 3 weeks now and Thankyou for all the msgs and love really appreciate and please pray for my quick recovery ????????????????."

But what was surprising, as well as funny, was the response on his post. Instead of showing sympathy for the cricketer and wishing for a quick recovery, fans started roasting him.

There were some fans who took a jibe at his picture in which Imam was wearing specs while sleeping.
