Anil Kumble, who had the 18-year long international career, is widely deemed as one of the greatest cricketers to have come out from India. A thorough gentleman on and off the field, the former leg-spinner is adored and admired by one and all in the cricketing fraternity.

On Tuesday (October 9), Kumble once again gave the glimpse of his classy nature when one of his fans was feeling shy to approach him on the flight.

Sohini Mitter, a journalist by profession tweeted: "The legendary Anil Kumble in  my BLR-MUM flight. Glanced at him once and was reminded of that game in West Indies where he bowled with a bandaged jaw. Teared up a bit. Gawwddd, I'm such a sucker for cricket memories." She further wrote, "I want to go up to @anilkumble1074 and say a 'Thank You' for all the joy, all the victories, all the memories. But, I am getting cold feet".

Kumble may not be a Twitter savvy person but he was kind enough to reply Sohini.

“Please feel free to come over and say hi after take off @Mittermaniac” Kumble quoted tweeted.

Later she shared the picture of Anil Kumble giving an autograph on the boarding pass.

Kumble had represented India in 132 Tests and 271 ODIs. While the Karnataka born leggie had scalped 619 wickets in red-ball cricket, he had taken 337 wickets in the 50-over format.
