Indian opening batsman Shikhar Dhawan has been training hard to eliminate the risk of missing out on a comeback to Indian Test side because of poor fitness. Dhawan is ensuring, apart from batting, he keeps himself fit to beat the qualifying score of yo-yo Test.

Recently, talking to Instagram, Dhawan shared a video of him hitting the gym hard and wrote, “Holidays doesn’t make any difference to me. Nothing stops me from training!!????????????????????????”

Dhawan was in top form for India in the Asia Cup 2018. He scored 342 runs at an average of 70. But he had a disastrous tour to England, where he couldn't score a fifty in any of the matches. No wonder, Indian team management who chops and changes the team too often didn't give Dhawan another opportunity in the red-ball series against West Indies.

The southpaw was replaced by Mayank Agarwal. The newcomer has done well in the domestic circuit which ensured a place for him in the Indian Test side.

Dhawan would have to wait for another opportunity it seems. While KL Rahul is failing to make a mark with the bat in Test, Prithvi Shaw, the 18-year-old struck a quick hundred on his Test debut against West Indies.
