Former Pakistan speedster Shoaib Akhtar has once again become the talk of the town on social media. This time, Akhtar has been trolled by Twitterati for terming himself as the ‘don of cricket’.

On Sunday (October 7), Shoaib Akhtar took to Twitter and posted a collage of pictures in which he has hurt quite a few batsmen with his ferocious pace.

“Don of cricket as they called me but never enjoyed hurting people but I must say when I was out there I just ran in for the love of my country & for the people around the world,” Akhtar captioned the image.

Soon after Shoaib posted the tweet, fans reminded him of Sachin Tendulkar’s brutal batting against the Pakistani bowling attack in 2003 World Cup. In particular, Tendulkar was severe on Akhtar in that match as he smashed him for 18 runs in the second over while chasing Pakistan’s 274.

It is worth mentioning here that India had defeated Pakistan by six wickets in 2003 World Cup, courtesy Sachin Tendulkar’s epic 75-ball 98 with 12 boundaries and 1 six. Akhtar was the most expensive bowler from Pakistan in that match as he had conceded 72 runs in his 10 overs.
