Twitter divided over Virat Kohli's request to allow wives for full tour overseas

Fans think it will not help them focus on the game and slammed Kohli for his request.

Twitter couldn't keep calm as Virat Kohli has reportedly requested the BCCI to change the current rule which allows wives and girlfriends to accompany the cricketers for only two weeks on overseas tours.

"The request was made a few weeks back but as it is a BCCI policy decision, the manager will have to submit a formal request first. Anushka has been traveling with Kohli overseas, however, Kohli now wants the old rule to be abolished and a new policy should come up where wives should be allowed to travel with the Indian team," a source was quoted as saying by the Indian Express.

As soon as the news broke out, Twitter was divided on the topic. While some lashed out at the Indian captain for his demand, others came in support and said they should be allowed to be with their wives as they stay away from family for a long time.

Recently, during India's tour to England, wives of Indian cricketers had accompanied them. Social media couldn't stop debating on the topic.
