Twitter couldn't keep calm as Virat Kohli has reportedly requested the BCCI to change the current rule which allows wives and girlfriends to accompany the cricketers for only two weeks on overseas tours.
"The request was made a few weeks back but as it is a BCCI policy decision, the manager will have to submit a formal request first. Anushka has been traveling with Kohli overseas, however, Kohli now wants the old rule to be abolished and a new policy should come up where wives should be allowed to travel with the Indian team," a source was quoted as saying by the Indian Express.
As soon as the news broke out, Twitter was divided on the topic. While some lashed out at the Indian captain for his demand, others came in support and said they should be allowed to be with their wives as they stay away from family for a long time.
Recently, during India's tour to England, wives of Indian cricketers had accompanied them. Social media couldn't stop debating on the topic.
Here is how they reacted:

Chutiya People: it’s Anushka’s fault. she’s behind everything. She’s damaging the team. She’s making him do that...

BCCI shouldn't allow Anushka and co for Australian tour. It's time Virat decided what's more important. Country or sex

Thread | It's pretty hilarious to see how Indian Cricket Fans think players are their employee. Virat requesting wifes to allowed on tour is matter that doesn't even deserves debate.

Virat Kohli is undoubtedly a great player but his off field antics are way overboard and irritating.

Other greats like Sachin, Dhoni and Dravid never did such stupidity.
Is Virat Kohli like Sachin Tendulkar?
— Eye Ball (@EyeBalllss) October 7, 2018
He can be. But.....
Anushka is definitely not like Anjali Tendulkar
It’s just a rumour that Virat Kohli’s biopic is named ‘Joru Ka Ghulam’. There is absolutely no truth in this news

Virat Kohli wants BCCI to allow the cricketers to have wives for full duration. First stone for the same was laid when he kicked Murali Vijay from the Indian side. Smart!

It’s 2018 and ppl still think International sportspersons are so mentally weak that their wives will distract them from the sport and they shouldn’t spend every day of their life together because of that. Have you seen Roger Federer and Mirka? Have you seen Ritika and Rohit?
